Writing and illustrating
into 2024
I'm excited to announce that I’m working on a book about my paternal family ancestry line. The book titled, 'The Small Family; Through The Generations', will take you on a journey through time and space, tracing my family’s history and the stories that have been passed down from generation to generation. With a couple of illustrations and photo alongside the text, I’m hoping to bring the story to life in a truly unique way. This is only one of the many exciting projects I have planned for the future.
I also have a some fiction and adventure books in the works, one is a young adult series of books about Will of North Truro, MA. a clever 10 year old boy who encounters mysteries and works on clever ways of solving them.
Then there's the suspense, supernatural mystery book of, "Haunting Whispers; Tales of an Olde New England Inn".
There are more projects planned as well but I'll talk about those at another time.

Summer 2023
I've moved off of Cape Cod and am now living in the Metro-West area of Boston, MA, not too far from the Cape.
I'm currently working on my first book, a collection of my illustrations of Whimsical/Fantastical Characters. Hoping for a late 2023 release date.

A Great Weekend at the Highland House Museum /
Truro Historical Society art show
My latest drawing, 'Polar Bear at the Pier" is now complete.

What a great weekend at the Highland House art show. I enjoyed meeting so many wonderful people and fellow artists.
Sold many originals and prints and had a blast!
Enjoyed sharing stories and my Small family history here in North Truro beginning around 1700.
Thank you to my cousin, Craig Nickerson, for making the long drive from New Hampshire down to the Highland House Museum art show in North Truro, MA.
This was the first time Craig and I met In-person as we have been working online connecting the dots and weaving the fragments of our family history.
(Here, my setup is outside the Highland House Museum which was originally built in 1906 as the "Highland House Hotel" by Isaac Morton Small and his wife, Lillian. )

Black and white charcoal pencils on Canson Mi-Teintes sky-blue paper.
The original drawing comes framed in a basic white-matted frame.
Drawing measures approximately 8" x 10"
